As a Five Element Acupuncture Practitioner I am very familiar with the unique way in which physical, emotional and mental ill health can come about. In my practise each day, every patient is diagnosed and treated as the ‘one off’ that they are! Each person has their own unique patterns of disharmony, symptoms and conditions vary widely from patient to patient. Acupuncture works by stimulating our own healing systems; imbalances are identified and addressed at their root cause and new patterns are created and built upon to help bring us into better health and well-being. This rebalancing not only addresses current health challenges; with ‘maintenance’ treatments acupuncture can be pro-active in helping us to become more robust and resilient to future illness.
I treat a wide range of conditions including anxiety, stress, depression, skin disorders, muscular and skeletal disorders, menstrual and menopausal symptoms, headaches, migraine, asthma, fatigue, sleep disorders … But some patients’ conditions don’t have a label – they seek treatment because ‘they just don’t feel like themselves anymore’ – they’ve lost their mojo along the way and can’t remember what it looked like in the first place now! For some, their circumstances or a life event has affected them in a way that they feel unable to move forwards from, and anger, grief, sadness, fear, hurt etc is overshadowing their life in some way.
So anything from a frozen shoulder to psoriasis, from indigestion to excess worry, from hot flushes to irregular periods can potentially be helped by acupuncture treatment!
